Oh Tiff, I'm sorry to read about all of your pets who have been met with tragic ends. That's really sad. I can't imagine dealing with something like you had to with Thumper. I had a cat that got hit by a car (no more out-door cats, ever!) but luckily I never saw her (my parents found her on the side of the road).
Right now, we've got a dog and two cats at home. Hamlet, a very old Bischon (stretching the breed to the max w/ good ol' Hammy!) He's not doing so well, unfortunately. He had to have surgery on his kidneys several months ago, during which they had to pull several teeth (we were very bad pet owners and didn't brush regularly...another "never again") He still seems pretty chipper for 14 (ish...god, how old is he really) but he does look kind of silly w/ all his missing teeth. Oh, and I forgot, he's kind of going blind too. Hamlet you're a mess, but I love you!
Then, we have two cats (Maynard and Jerry). Both freebies. Maynard was from an ad in the paper, and Jerry literally followed us home.
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)
