piano help!!!

I need to purchase a used Yamaha U3 for a community theater group that is starting in mid-November. The internet hasn't been much help- alot of the sites listed are outside of NYC. Can anyone suggest a good warehouse to purchase a used Yamaha U3 in NYC, Quuens, or Long Island? I only have $4,000 in my budget, so it has to be a used piano, I guess. I'm also having a difficult time finding prices on the internet. Thnaks so much!!

You may actually want to check a place like Craigslist, people sell instruments there all the time. Check with churches and see if they have a piano they would want to sell. Take someone with you who knows pianos so they can make sure it's a good instrument.

isn't much help but found two used in Malaysia and England.....
also looks like you did put an ad on Craigslist...good luck!

You might also want to check with some of the performing arts schools around the area. I know that Juilliard replaces the pianos in their rehearsal rooms every so often. Worth a try.
