i have one on the botum of my foot.my mom said that i have to go to the foot docor and get it removed.whats that like?
im scaired to
usually they freeze it off... it doesn't hurt.
The longer you let it grow, the more painful it will become so get it done now. You'll be OK.
If it would make you feel better, there;s this stuff called "Emla" that you can get from a doctor, or "ElaMax" you can buy at CVS. Usually it's used to numb the skin before blood draws ro IVs, but before you go to the doctor (about an hour before, and leave it on untill you're read to leave) if you put some on it, it will be compleatly numb when they remove it.
They are going to carve it out with a large butcher knife.
Be sure and ask for vicoden.
Exactly!
duct tape gets rid of them.....according to my grandmother
duct tape: what can't it do? :)
something about the acid on the sticky part, you just keep changing it, and eventually it kills it and comes off...according to her
LOL I thought you meant just stick it on, and rip it off, wart and all. ouch.
Ick, I used to have one on the bottom of my foot too. But it's gone now.. I wonder why? I didn't do a thing to it.
They hurt like a mofo. And you can never really get rid of it. It will keep coming back. People are born with them and although you can remove the scar tissue (VERY PAINFUL!!), the virus will always be with you. Sort of like Herpes, it may clear up for a time, but it will resurface in the future.
I had about 4-5 on each foot a couple years ago, and they were HELL. Freezing them doesn't always get them off, but they help increase the process. Your body will eventually build up an immunity to them, but until thenyou might keep getting more. My doctor advised me to soak my feet in extremely hot water for 40 minutes a day and scrape them down good when your done. It took me a good 3 months to get rid of them , but that's only because I was too lazy to soak them. But after the 2nd month of putting up with them I started soaking, and eventually was able to pick them out. They turn black and hard. I'm positive if you do this they will eventually go away, and be glad you only have 1!!!
Eww so I guess I should expect a return of the wart.. fabulous!

Get it treated by a podiatrist. They will make sure you are not in any pain by giving you something to numb the area. If left untreated, it will continue to grow. Ask the doctor on how you can prevent it from happening again.
I had 2 and I had to get them burned off..you need a shot in your foot to numb it..ask for some numbing cream before hand..get better soon :)
