#1My Microwave Caught On Fire Last Night, And I Have A Question!!
Posted: 11/16/06 at 10:48amYeah, long story short, I was cooking something in the microwave and I followed the directions, but then I just watched my food burst into flames. I stopped the time and the fire went down, then I opened the microwave door and smoke came out and I happened to breath in smoke. I can still taste some smoke, my throught itches a little, and I'm coughing, but that's it. Should I be worried that I breathed in the smoke? I'm chugging down on as much liquids as I can. If anybody else knows anything that I can do to help my throught that'll be great, thanks!!

Are you coughing up black stuff? Is black stuff coming out of your nostrils? I began doing that when I had a (small) fire in my place. I went to the E.R. and I did have carbon monoxide poisoning. A few hours of oxygen and I was ok.
I'd get it checked out today.
