Would anyone care to post a set list?
(or a link to one if one is already up and running?)
Details appreciated.
This may not be the right order:
Diana DiMarzio: Ennio Morricone medley for a 13-piece ensemble.
Benjamin Magnuson: Scott Weiland's "Lady, Your Roof Brings Me Down"
Donna Lynne Champlin: "God's Song"
Manoel Felciano: "Wake Up" and "Don't Feed the Beast"
Lauren Molina: "I'm Okay" and "The Rollerskate Song" (Edit: Thanks Chica. )
John Arbo: "Shenandoah" and "the Water is Wide"
Ben Eakley, Elisa Winter, and Jessica Wright: Chet Baker's "Unsung Swan Song"
Michael Cerveris performed a song, and then a duet with Nellie McKay.
Nellie McKay: "Toto Dies", "Columbia is Bleeding", and "Won't U Please B Nice"
Duncan Sheik: "I Don't Do Sadness" and "Left Behind" with Michael
Cerveris: "SPCA", "Crosshill", "Better", "Golden", "Star"....and there was probably more that I can't think of.
Encore: Duncan Sheik's "White Limousine" and "Phoenix" performed by a group of them...
This isn't exactly right, but it's generally what was performed. I'm missing some songs, I believe.
Donna Lynne was the unofficial MC, so she told three stories in between some songs while the stage was being set up.
Hopefully someone could add the songs that I forgot.
ooh!
"Left Behind" is the most beautiful, beautiful song.
Thanks xoxRogue for the info.
Would anyone else like to add more details??
What did the stage look like?
Did the musicians rotate?
Was there a core band?
What merch did everyone buy?
:)

Sean Hagerty played the violin during "The Roof Brings Me Down" (which was, imo, the best performance of the night). He had a kick ass violin solo during that number. Brought the house down.
Actually, it's "Lady, Your Roof Brings Me Down" - and I agree that it was the best performance of the night. I *really* hope Ben does another solo gig soon.
I think the merchandise stand also had BC/EFA merchandise.

That violin solo was really kick ass. I LOVED that performance.
Merchandise: Bowery signed and unsigned posters, Lauren's posters...signed and semi-signed, Lauren's shirts, the Cerveris CD and Cerveris vinyl album (not available in stores).
I gotta agree about Magnuson's song being the best. Loved how the violin a classic instrument, was integrated for this rock solo...I mean he was great and that's what I loved most how the instruments were used to create such a sound, and it's not the kind of instruments you would think could be used in a song like that. For that reason, I also really liked the songs Michael sang with "The Toddlers."
BTW, the cello trio with Duncan Shiek (yeah I'm terrible with song names, yaay for you guys for being much better) was arranged by Elisa
I kind of wanted to hear Barely Breathing...then I realized it's from 9 years ago and I felt old and also realized how long it's been since I knew every song on the radio...
On another note, I brought my cousins to the show tonight. They loved it. It was soldout, and the most enthusiastic, responsive crowd I have ever seen Sweeney with. The laughter was...hmm, not comparable to the funniest moments of DRS like Ruprecht...maybe the kind of laughing response that usually comes after "come on, she gave me tongue"? Not screaming laughter, but definitely unified, loud...anyway it was cool. And huuuge, long applause at the end.
Another one of my cousin's is bald, and my cousins said I have to take him and have him be in the front row so he can be a part of the show.
Soldout?! Sweet. It sounds like it was an awesome night.

Riiiight. Because we ALL know the lines to DRS and can understand that analogy.
I realized that, which is why I tried to add the not screaming, but loud, etc part.

Well, I wasn't comparing the shows themselves, just audience laughter. I mean, sorry, I realize that wasn't a helpful way of describing it, it's just that's the way I encoded it in my head.
But whatever. Patti was on tonight(as in she was great, not just present); I definitely missed her. She's integrated quite a few new mannerisms into Lovett.
Thanks for the info, all!
Mmmm, elephants. :)

InnerSweeney posted two days ago!
I'm so glad that I have common sense.
A fish couldn't be friends with an elephant--they can't even breathe for too long in the same place, let alone talk. Come on guys. That statement is quite ERRONEOUS.
