once a week they perform the wrong procedure, operate on the wrong body part or simply operate on the wrong person.
not to mention the 3+ times a week they leave a surgical instrument inside a patient.
and we want to go to a universal heathlcare system in which dodctors would be the equivalent of postal workers. because we know the post office never screws anything up.

That is scary. Though 'operate on the wrong body' and 'on the wrong person' are surely the same.
Scary, nonetheless.
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

...and I'm sure this only happens in California. Because all other hospitals in the 49 remaining states are flawless.
I'm not saying this isn't disturbing information. I'm only wondering what the stats are everywhere else in the country.
They have less people and less hospitals, sure, but are they perfect?

sorry, left out a word in the original post.
besty, i'd like to see stats on the rest of the country as well. until we see them though and have some basis for comparisons, we can obliviously mock the cali medical establishment mercilessly.

I ended up going to the ER one night, and I will never do that again. I swear from my area I heard that one of the nurses stuck themselves with a used needle or something. Unbelievable.
