Is this a screen shot? It's a little too "computer shady" for hand-drawn cells.
Is it 3D? Or a combo of hand-drawn and computer animation?

Posted: 1/1/10 at 9:12pmBesty, it looks to me like it's just promotional art drawn up by Disney to promote the film.

Exactly, Jordan. I've worked with Disney "key art" before for various projects, and it is always given a more shaded photo-realistic treatment.
I was just curious if they were trying something new with this film. You never know! It would be possible (although hugely expensive) to hand-draw the cells and then shade and color them (ala key art) in 3D. I wonder how that would look?
I did a little Googling, though, and found these other shots. While I consider this very well drawn, it doesn't have that 3D-realistic shaded look found in the key art.

"I've just decided she looks like Amy Spanger."
So does that mean that she'll be played by a different actress by the time it gets to dvd?

Most likely. Otherwise Disney will be using the previously mentioned software to create an animated film with the actual Amy Spanger acting in it.
It's science.

I hope there is a poison apple ball gag in this film.

Looks like she uses a great conditioner
More likely that she doesn't use shampoo.
It seems that they're pulling away from the way the story goes with the "instant love" and I like that.

Why is he tied up? And pleading? Why'd he climb up there in the first place? Is she that controversially photoshopped Ralph Lauren model since her head is bigger than her pelvis? So many questions.
I already feel sorry for the chick who gets the job as the walkaround Rapunzel at Disneyland. She's gonna need a friggin' wheelbarrow for her wig.

They released that same screenshot image with two other hair color options:
Red -
and Brunette -
She's been blonde throughout the concept art so we'll see what happens.

Blonde or brunette looks best... the red looks like crap.
And she majorly looks like Amy Spanger..... like seriously, it kinda frightens me.
