ok so now that we've had the "what was your school's fall show?" thread, i'd like to know what everyone is doing for their spring show and what parts they are! please excuse me if there's already a thread on this..i didn't see one..
ok so we're doing Little Shop of Horrors. Most of the show is double cast so I'm Audrey for 2 nights and another girl is Audrey for the other 2. i'm so excited! ok everyone post!
We're doing Honk. I'm Lowbutt and very excited to start rehersals tomorrow. The only thing that will suck is getting my hamstrings fit--from the talk I had with my director before break, I have a feeling I'm gonna be doing some waddling. Peachy.
Hello, Dolly! I'm shooting for Dolly, but chances are I'll be partying it up in chorus. I hate not being a favorite.
Don't Drink the Water. I want to be Susan Hollander.
woah... you're already working on your spring show? our winter ones haven't even gone up! ha anyways we're doing Footloose... i'd love to be Rusty-- i was destined to sing *hear it for the boy and holdin' out.... we'll see in like a month or two probably!
We're doing Beauty and the Beast, and I'm Lumiere, which is pretty awesome, I just need to perfect my French accent. Amazing that you guys start rehearsals NOW. We are starting in a couple of months, and even that is a long time.
We are doing Cabaret and I am hoping for Sally :)
Gumbo2-Do you mind if I ask how you are doing Beauty and the Beast since it is still on broadway? Good luck!!!

42nd Street. I'm in the chorus, but it promises to be a great show. I'm so excited!
I live in a sports town, which I despise. We don't have a theatre dept., just a music dept., so we don't do a fall play. I hate my school, really. *sigh*
Born2C-
Rights for Beauty and the Beast are out, even if the show is on Broadway.
Really??? I didn't know that, thanks so much!!!

Well my school doesn't do shows at all....darn those small catholic schools that only care about sports....anyway I am in a community theatre production of Footloose with just high schoolers. I'm playing Vi. I'm very excited!
I'm playing Smith in "Murder on the Nile" right now . . . they flip-flopped it and put our musical in the fall (it used to be in the spring). So we did "Two Gentlemen of Verona" as the musical (GAG me) and now "Nile".
My School is doing Snoopy, I am shooting for Charlie Brown. I don't know yet, auditions are this week.
We're doing Guys and Dolls ... which would be totally great if it wasn't such a sucky school...you know the kind in the south that looks down on theatre and up on sports?
Anyhow I'm one of the Hot Box girls...Kiki.
There are a few local colleges are having open auditions though, so I'm really leaning more on those and if I get one of those I'm audi!! :o)

We have a spring play, Neil Simon's Fools. It hasn't been approved yet... so let's hope no.
Fools is a male heavy production, but the only problem is, we have a lot more talented females with only 2 awesome guys.
The females are slightly pissed off.
New Drama teachers...
We are doing Sunday in the Park w/ George, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Marie Christine, and Jesus Chist Superstar
Oh the many auditions........
Thoroughly Modern Millie....
We learned the choreography for Speed Test yesterday....it's so much fun. but it's so dang hard tapping while sitting. <3
My school's doing Mamma Mia, but I'm not taking part in it because I'm in a theatre group outside school and we're doing The Wiz (awesome play) and I'm playing the Scarecrow. However, I'm really looking forward to seeing Mamma Mia! I saw it a few years ago in Toronto and absolutely loved it.
Our school does a fall musical then a spring show written by a few of us.
The thespians usually do a musical and a play... but they also suck majorly.
This year, they're doing Jekyll and Hyde, except they're doing the musical... with no music... and they're only speaking the songs... not the rest of the show... they're idiots.
Then they're doing Midsummer's Night Dream... I haven't decided if I'm auditioning yet... because they drive me absolutely bonkers.

Spring Musical - Fiddler on the Roof
Our director said its the best esamble he's heard in all four years hes done our shows
RUTHLESS
it should be alot of fun (it hasn't been cast yet, but nonetheless, it's a very entertaining show)
Our school's spring musical is INTO THE WOODS!! I am sooo freaking excited! :) I am hoping for the part Jack! *sigh* "There are giants in the sky!" haha. The song is amazing! I can't wait... but our school is going through financial problems, and our levy did not pass... hopefully it will pass in February, but if it does not, our director (she is amazing) has hook ups with the community theater where we live, so they will put it on for us!!! Thankgoodness!!!!!
Two Gentlemen of Verona, set in the 50s, and the director is making it into a pseudo musical. All the main female roles were cast last week. I came back and read for a small role yesterday...and now I'm waiting.

Kiss Me, Kate
I like this show, but it seems dumb to do in a Highschool because the characters are predominately male. Whatever. Auditions are in a week and a half, and I want Lois Lane, but I'm a freshman so that's highly unlikely. I'll settle for dancer/chorus member.
We are doing "You Can't Take it With You".
I'm going out for the part of Martin Vanderhof, auditions are the 25th of January.
