Lindsay is gonna be the understudy, not the standby. Lindsay should be filling Heather Spore's track in the ensemble (Megan Sikora is standby for Glinda in Chicago right now, btw . . . ). I hadn't heard of Katie leaving, but if she did, I don't know who her replacement is, but I don't believe it's Lindsay.

I saw the board Wed. and Fri. matinees, my friend's mom saw the Thurs. night show and I saw the Fri. night show.

I cannot speak more highly about Ace. It's BRILLIANT. I saw it in Cincy and I can honestly say it is probably the best new work I've seen in the past few years. The score is amazing and the story is compelling. I don't cry during musicals, and I thought it was a lot when I cried at the end of Act One, until I BAWLED throughout Act Two. Brief, brief sum-up of tonight because I'm tired. Of course, Tina was on for Laura . . . she was absolutely wonderful. I loved Laura and didn't think I'd like Tina better, but I totally, totally adored everything Tina did with the role; she was also really on tonight vocally. David Josefsberg was on for Sammy; he was great as well; Kevin Kern was on for David. Stephen was his usual "on" self; Amy was sick, but fantastic as usual; Felicia rocked my socks. Yep, Lea's definitely staying with "Spring Awakening".

Emily's vocals would not be nearly as strong as Lauren's . . . she only has a belt to a certain point, while Lauren's is virtually limitless. Acting-wise, she'd be great, but I don't think the vocals would be there.

Jennifer wouldn't be able to handle Holly's dancing . . . she's said in interviews that she's not a dancer.
