so gov't admits it railroaded former alaska senator ted stevens. will tpm be posting an apology? what about the rest of the media who trumpeted this politically motivated case all through the campaign?
where does he go to get his life back?
He's 85 years-old, he's already had his life.
Who knows what would have happened had a competent AG and legal team had managed the case. This case was poorly managed and prosecuted, with serious ethical and evidentiary errors by the prosecution. Good for Holder for looking at the case as he should - in a non-partisan way, and saying - something went very wrong here.
Kudos to Holder for doing the right thing, and trying to rectify the mistakes of the prior AGs. When he does the same of other individuals improperly investigated, indicted and convicted, I hope your righteous indignation about abuses and mistakes under the former AGs will still be intact.
EDIT - in tact, intact. Yeah, it is still early here in LA.

when have i ever had any tact?
Nice catch.
Though, once in a while, when folks really are having a bad day, you have some tact.
I'm confused. Does this mean he's actually not a slimeball?
Or he is just a slimeball whose prosecution was mishandled?
