Posted: 5/27/05 at 9:55pmYeah, I saw the collection, but, like you, East of Eden is the only one I don't have, so I probably won't be buying the collection. Also, about East of Eden, Jo VanFleet, who plays his mother(i think) won the best supporting actress oscar that year, so those are always fun to watch :)

I LOVE James Dean! When he passed, it was such a great, great loss for Hollywood. He really had it all: Screen presence, looks, charm, intensity, and talent.
At least we'll always have his other works.

Love him. An amazing actor and it's such a tragedy that he was only to make a few films. But the fact that we're still talking about him 50 years later based on his short career is proof that he had a huge impact on the world.
And he's definitely gorgeous. My roommate has a biography of him and there was a picture of him sitting completely naked in a tree. We blew it up to a 3 foot X 4 foot poster and hung it right inside the doorway of our room. So when we had our door propped open, James Dean in all (and I mean ALL) his glory could be seen from down the hall.
Wanting life but never knowing how

Posted: 5/29/05 at 7:13pmJames Dean is one of the most influential actors ever. His memory will live on because he was amazing and talented. Personally he's one of my heores because he refused to conform and was so damn cool... seriously there will never be another James Dean... and he should have got the oscars!
