What matters isn't how many "songs" fit in iPod- that's a measurement that gets really inexact if all your albums aren't all radio-length pop. My CD of Glenn Gould playing the Goldberg Variations has only one track, but that track is over 51 minutes long. What really matters is how many GB of space you have. I've used up 7.78 GB of space on about 140 albums, to give you an idea of what might happen with a mixed music collection.
