The subject title of "why" explains absolutely nothing. When you see a thread, you more than likely would like to know what it's about.
If you look at all the other threads, you can tell what they are about before opening them.
Where's the element of surprise (or shock) in that, SweetQ?

I'm sorry, but if my introduction to you is that - on a site dedicated to Broadway - you want help writing a musical, but don't know who Mr. Guettel is, I'm not inclined to take you seriously at all.
And if I actually have to WORK at figuring out what you're trying to say - if you want to text someone, use your phone - then you can forget it.
wow, ok sweetq i see your point. But my subject of "why" got your attention didn't it. I mean you opened it right. And then once you got in you read, understood and replied so mission accomplished. Ans i know that i am speeking to intelligent people. All i am saying is that im not trying to empress any of you. And so i dont know some mr. whatever. That doesnt mean i dont appreciate broadway.
No, but I'd like to.
I have to finish this book first, and see how the public takes it. Being published is one goal of many. Broadway acting (or acting in general) is not, although I'd love to have one of my plays on Broadway.
I also want to be a chef, just don't have the time or money to go to classes.

How do I put this delicately - it would be one thing for a 'fan' to come on looking for conversation, but not know some of the key contributers to the genre working today. It's an entirely different thing when you leap out of the gate with, "I'm looking to write a musical."
