Correct spelling, grammar and punctuation is not an overly-stuffy outmoded form relegated to people with tiny little noses who sit at Victorian writing desks sending thank-you notes to the people who sold them tires last week.
To make the effort to form your posts correctly shows not just a desire to effectively communicate with the audience at hand, it shows a respect for them. Thus far you haven't shown that desire or that respect, but you seem to be insulted by not receiving that respect in return. Certainly none of us here are perfect all of the time, but we at least make the effort.
Before posting, BWW gives you the option of previewing your message. Should there be a mistake, BWW also offers you the option of editing that message after the fact. If you are running the latest version of Firefox, it will also automatically underline spelling mistakes for you to review. If you want to positively interact with people on this board, I would suggest that you use these tools. It's not about formality. It's about ease of communication and respect.
And no one grew into anything new, we just became the worst of what we were."
