we had to get another 1.5" so we could have 3 years in a row of +40" snowfalls which is unique in the history of recorded weather in new york and just another sign of global warming.

Water Vapor freezes into crystals. When many of these crystals gather together they become heavy enough to fall as snow. :)

We're getting another snowstorm this weekend. If we get 1.5 inches, it'll be a 136-year record for snowfall.

Adgal- you're in London right? Lucky you! I prefer all that rain to this intense cold and snow.

PS- about half my family is in the UK- split between London, Cheam, and the Isle of Man

I WISH I were in London, and hope to be there for a theatre weekend soon. I spent a year in London when I was in college (long time ago), so travelled throughout England. Loved it.

Ok, got you confused with someone else. I studied in London my freshman year of NYU (I just turned 30 so that feels like a lifetime ago) and I loved it. I also spent many summers there growing up- my parents sent me to stay with family as an alternative to camp.

I think it's the MTA seeding the clouds and trying to drive more people to the subways so they can jack up the fares and make New York City unlivable for upper middle class people.
