"Scott in Palm Springs" Hey, same here. Chris in PS. I hate it here.
I know this weather sucks. I'm so jealous of all of you in that snow. I miss snow... I'd rather be cold than hot, and it's already hot here.
My demon sister calls me every day from Tempe, AZ to tell me exactly what temperature it is....IN HER POOL.
It's 85 in there today. And it's 83 outside. I said "Oh, that's nice Erica, switch those numbers around and subtract 5 and you've got you some nice New England!"
79 degrees in my region of California and expected to be in the 80s this weekend. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. But, temps will drop to the 60s later next week and MORE RAIN is expected. Groundhog was kind to us.
Hey Chris....how could you hate PS? I mean it's a bit hot too early in the year for my tastes, but...I'll take it. I do not miss the snow, except at Xmas.
I do miss decent theater......I get tired of driving to LA....
I have to vote for the heat.......and I get my Broadway fix next month for a week!
I don't hate PS in general, just the weather. Or more, the heat. It's too damn hot here, and god forbid, it's just gonna get hotter.
But I hear you on the decent theater. I have to drive to places like SD, SF, or OC to get even the slightest bit of decent theater. The McCollum could always be better. Also, that's awesome you get your bway fix next week. Congrats!
next month.....after the snow, not next week. Yeah, I saw DRS in San diego before it hit Broadway......my first time at the Old Globe.....(and I lived there from 1976-1984 and never went)...nice theater. I go to Starlight now and then, but usually LA. We moved here in 1999, We arrived in July, I got out of the truck and said....TAKE ME HOME (we moved from San Francisco). Only the first summer was hard for me.......anywhere else I freeze.
How long have you lived here? I wish they'd get newer productions at the McCallum........
Sorry, I totally read that wrong.
I want to move to SF. I went there for a trip over the winter break to meetup with some friends. And I've lived in this valley for thirteen years. Moved here with my family in '92, in February when the weather wasn't so bad. But I had to endure the hottest summer here in '93. Horrible.
They just recently had The Full Monty at the McCallum. Didn't get a chance to see it though.

Today i saw my first Robin. Spring can't be far off.
I saw a robin today too, Yenta. It flew off the tree it was on when it got hit in the head with some falling snow. It depressed me.
yeah, i missed Full Monty.....SF is nice, but so expensive to live there.
I have a feeling this summer is going to be a really hot one.
Oh yeah. Here's to another horrible summer. -toasts-
Yeah, I know it's expensive, but it's nice to dream. If not SF, then NY. Someday maybe. -rolls eyes- Yeah right. I'm stuck here in this horrible valley for the rest of my life. I remember someone telling me back in high school that if you live here for more than a year, you never leave. So here I am, after thirteen years... still here. I guess it could be worse.
Hey, to avoid any further threadjacking, we can take this convo to a PM. Cuz I'm curious at what other shows you like.
