re: SOUTH PACIFIC--WHERE TO GET TICKETS

I just tried for the last week of May and found nothing. I imagine that they get more than a few no-shows. So at this point, if you want to see it, you'll likely have to get them at the door.

Lots of seats must be blocked with the idea to offer "premium seating" after the Tony's. I attempted to get Orch center for mid-July and no luck - only far left/right or loge. With the help of this message board, I chose center lower loge.
Good luck, hope you get the tickets. I printed mine this morning, can't believe I am going!

As of this morning there were still excellent orchestra seats in early September. Booked mine! Just hope Kelli O’Hara will be there. (Cold virus season, LOL)

To get tix anywhere but Telecharge/Ticketmaster or the box office, you are going to pay a PREMIUM.

I saw it this past week and it's amazing. I was in the second row of the center loge. AMAZING tix. The seating in the loge is practically stadium seating so no worrying about the person in front of you.

Since it is a thrust stage, even the far right or far left seats are good. It is staged beautifully and they never forget there is audience all around them. I think there would be very few bad seats at the Vivian Beaumont.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Do they not do student tickets at all for South Pacific?

I know this isn't what you were looking to hear, but sometimes waiting till a few days or even hours before the performnce works. On a whim, I checked Telecharge.com last night at 1 am and got an AMAZING ticket for today's matinee - Orch, H 404. Incredible.

re: SOUTH PACIFIC--WHERE TO GET TICKETS

For all involved, ANY seat you purchase is 'worth it' - You're seeing the best reviewed show of the '07-'08 B'way season. Buy those tix while you still can. It's worth it. Row C, for your information, is the front row of the orchestra section - be it front-and-center OR extreme side(s).

IS there a student rush?
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

keith2 , I hope you are better at booking tickets online than you are at posting messages. (Why all the blanks?)

re: SOUTH PACIFIC--WHERE TO GET TICKETS

LCT DOES do student rush. However, it is subject to availability. Which means you are not likely to get it for South Pacific. I believe it is 2 hours prior to showtime they sell it, if they have it.
