We're seeing Hedwig at the end of this month, but will be back in NYC over the 4th of July holiday, and are considering seeing it again then at the 10PM Saturday night show. Has anyone seen the 10PM show and another presentation and is able to say whether it's worth seeing both iterations?
There's nothing really different about the show on paper. The only difference would be the atmosphere. Maybe more ad-libs. Looser vibe, probably younger and more boisterous audience.
No, it's rather confusing. After the lotto for the 7 PM, they tell how many spots they'll have for the 7 and those people count off. The tickets for the 7 are sold at 6:15. Then, whoever remains is in line for the 10. (I wish there were 2 lines.)
Agreed, I really thought the difference was in the audience and not necessarily in the performances! There was another "Neil!" shout-out, and NPH had a pretty seamless reply … I guess they worked that out after all the press last time.
Went to the Sunday matinee and it felt like a Saturday late-night performance. The atmosphere was electric and the performance was full-on. Absolute perfection.
