12 Angry men

I may have an audition for 12 Angry Men coming up soon, except it would be changed to 12 Angry Jurors, so girls or guys could play any role.

I'm really interested in Juror #8, so first of all, do you think it would be okay if this role was played by a girl?

And I mainly came to this board since I know that the show was recently on Broadway, and I wanted to know what people who saw it thought of Boyd Gaines' performance as Juror #8. I think I have a pretty good idea of how the role should be played, but I was just curious to see what he did with the role. And anyone who's seen it, what do you think are the most important things to keep in mind when auditioning for this role?

Any help at all would be appreciated!

i saw 12 angry men with boyd gaines. i think it would be acceptable for a girl to play this role.

boyd played the role very well. he didn't seem to take control of the meeting at the start, but there was something very special about his character, because even though he didnt' take charge, the other jurors listened to him.
