yeah... i work over at hairspray and when i would be working and hear donna after mama i'm a big girl now in the segue into the tv station scene i'd be like ahhh she's amazing... and then they replaced her and well... ehhh but yeah, she's great. and a real sweetheart too.

the fact that fenchurch said that there aren't any broadway singers who can do dreamgirls... wow... what an ass.

do be cautious. i work at jersey boys... the show is two hours and twenty five minutes, not fifteen. and, as of today, we are in broadway cares season, so it will probably add another 45 minutes onto the amount of time it will take to meet and greet the seasons.

the orchestrations and incidental music are both changing a lot for the broadway production.

a few of the nicest kids in town in the hairspray movie were replacements in the broadway cast. and a few of the replacement dynamites are doing the dynamite voices in the movie version.

hairspray switches to a new schedule this sunday where there will be two shows on sunday... 1:30 and 6:30. apparently all of the weekend shows are sold out thanks to tourists.

ok so i work on the merchandising team at jersey boys and hairspray. we work harder than the ushers! merchandise reps. arrive 1.5 hours before the show. so for an 8:00 show, i need to be there at 6:30. we count the money, copy all of the figures from the previous night's ending totals onto a new sheet for the current day's starting totals. we "run the line" on numerous deposits every night. then, we pull merchandise from the stock rooms if our counter is low. restock all the counters, and THE...
