"13" RUSH

Hi, everyone.

I'm really dying to see "13" tonight. How does rush for this work? I've searched and can't find details, and strangely enough it's not coming up on TALKIN' BROADWAY.

If I get there at around 3:45 will I be able to get rush?

re: '13' RUSH

i'm sure if you got there at 7:58 you'd be able to get rush...

You MUST love theatre trash!!!

Yes but this is NOT the usual Jason Robert Brown stuff.

It really is a terrible score... especially for him.

When I first heard it (and saw it), my mouth dropped. I still can't believe some of the crap this man was capapable of writing. After all of his wonderful work with PARADE and LAST FIVE YEARS.

so ridiculous.

re: '13' RUSH

Well the show was actually sold out last night so I'm not entirely sure the 7:58 thing is entirely accurate.

re: '13' RUSH

It was sold out before 6pm yesterday, so no you can't waltz up 2 minutes before curtain and get it.

Just the same, can anyone say what the actual rush policy is?
Is it students? When box office opens?
Information would be helpful.

Are you aware that changes were made to 13 during the past weekend's previews????? It is now a one act. I saw it Sunday and quite frankly it ROCKED!

re: '13' RUSH

I actually went at around 3:45 last Friday and got tickets. During the show, I saw some SR though.

re: '13' RUSH

The show was "sold-out" because more than 80% of the house got free tickets. I won't be surprised if some were even paid to sit through this crapfest.

re: '13' RUSH

Well that's unfortunate if it's true because I for one, and others, tried to buy tickets and they told us it was sold out...wouldn't they rather have money than comps? BTW, I love the show and would happily pay to sit through this "crapfest". Will people ever realize that their opinions may not be the same as everyone else's?

re: '13' RUSH

Jake, they give free tickets in advance because the show is not selling. They can't take those comps away once someone decides he wants to buy a ticket.

re: '13' RUSH

I meant RUSH was sold out JohnMs2. The thread was about rush. There is a limited number of rush tickets, and there was the implication that those could be gotten up to curtain, but they cannot.

re: '13' RUSH

Exactly what I was saying, johnms2, that maybe they should give a few less comps when they realize people are actually willing to pay.

re: '13' RUSH

"when they realize people are actually willing to pay."

But... people are not willing to pay. 40% of the house actually paid last week.

re: '13' RUSH

I said SOME comp tickets. Clearly some people are willing to pay if they go to the box office willing to BUY tickets and there are none because of comps. Just becausing it isn't doing well doesn't mean no one is willing to pay and hopefully they will cut down on a few of the comp tickets after they see that people are being turned away from the box office with actual money in hand.

re: '13' RUSH

You can get $13.00 tickets by using code 13MTC30 in-person at the box-office (valid thru 10/5). The seats are listed as the last row of the mezzanine... but pre-curtain, they move you WAY down (seeing as the mezzanine is 75% empty)

re: '13' RUSH

No way, thanks EugLoven! I'm going Sunday now! I'll pay $13 bucks for this.

re: '13' RUSH

Rush was $25 even. Got it around noon today and was front row on the aisle. Had an absolutely wonderful time and LOVED the show.

re: '13' RUSH

Sunday is opening night so I doubt that the mezz will be empty. I tried to get tickets with the broadwaybox.com discount code and only the last couple of rows of the rear mezz came up.
