I'll disagree with Tony Kushner, but agree with the others. The Tony honors are meant to cover things that aren't in the regular Tony categories. They're not consolation prizes for Tony losers. So giving awards for puppetry, special areas of tech like flying, and rotating casts makes sense. Giving an award to Raul Esparza because he doesn't already have one doesn't. :)
