Amen to that ponine...well at least eventually.
They have to get it as close to perfect as possible first, the ATA run showed them what worked and what didn't. The Dodger Stages run will present even more pros and cons after revisions that can be worked out for when/if they go to Broadway.

I know someone who saw chitty chitty in london and they said it was a great show and the special effects with the flying car were spectacular. I bet it will do well on broadway especially with families.

Little Women will probably be a hit
BKLYN probably will too, some people have recently compared it to a more up-to-date RENT
I think Little Women will fizzle out. The subject matter is just not exciting, original, engaging, dramatic or comedic enough to last with the commercial mainstream

BARE has gained lots of momentum on a cult circuit and it is still VERY young...I know nothing at all about the show except that MANY people love it...I think it has a VERY bright future. Give it time, it will come to Broadway.

i've got high hopes for brooklyn! something tells me bare is meant to be an off- broadway show though...
Out of curiousity, what are your reasonings for that?

cause its about gay guys? i dunno...with stuff on broadway like Prymate (which closed, I know...) we need something good.
The gay thing isn't any reason as to why. I think it will gain a huge audience, word of mouth and the Dodger run will do it tons of good. I HATE to compare it to RENT, but look at RENT's success from an Off-Broadway show and word of mouth to the hit that it is.

Hi Aspirin-g guy. Yes, I agree with you. MOMENTUM is in it's path. GAY people are fun...almost as fun as monkeys and midgets.
I have to agree I think Little Women will be a good show but the plot isn't that interesting. Personally I'm waiting for Spamalot. I also agree with whomever said it's the next Producers.

I'll echo the sentiments that Little Women is just an uninteresting story. Even Sutton and some decent music can't save such a boring plot.
I think Spamalot, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and La Cage seem like pretty decent bets.
I hate to join the bandwagon, but Brooklyn looks destined to be next seasons big hit.
And All Shook Up could go either way. I'm hoping it does well, but it seems like a few people have already made up their minds that they won't see it just because of what it is.

I'm all for Brooklyn, but I hope it doesn't replace Rent.

no no no nothing wrong with gays! it's jsut...i dunno...seems like it's an off-broadway show! just a feeling you get...
As much as I'd like for Little Women to be a hit, just because I'm a huge Sutton Foster fan, I can't imagine wanting to see something that has that many depressing plot points with music added. Spamalot will be huge, that's a no doubt sort of thing.
DRACULA will be a smash hit and run for 600 years.

dracula...eh. i dunno, i don't think it'll be a hit. frogs doesn't strike me as a hit either...
Once Sutton leaves Little Women will be gone. The story's just boring. I'm only seeing it because of her. But I think Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and All Shook Up will do well.
Little Women will probobly have a similar lifespan to caroline or change because as my dad so eloquently said "Why pay 100 dollars a ticket to be depressed, I can do that for free"
It's kinda difficult to gauge what will be a hit or a flop given that most of the shows aren't open yet or haven't had a prior production. "Dracula" sounds as if it won't survive too long, once it does actually open. "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" will probably do well, catering to families, and kids who are tired of "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Lion King." "Pacific Overtures" was relatively well received during its incarnation a few years ago as a part of the Lincoln Center Festival. But will it translate well with the Roundabout's production in English? Only because the LCF version was done entirely in Japanese, which made it a Japanese viewpoint on the American view of the opening of Japan to the Western world.
I'm hoping "Spamalot" and "La Cage" do well.

Rathnait, just got back and read that Christina Applegate is an established singer/dancer?
May I ask in what? (No sarcasm is there). I never knew she had ventured into musical theater and/or is talented in that department.
wow - I was all ready to say that "Chitty" would bomb, but apparently it's did alright in London. I guess it's safer to bank on Frank Wildhorn bombing? I hope not - I want to see it!

Well I'm very excited to see "Sweet Charity" when it does it's try out run in Boston. I believe that Christina Applegate has been dancing for years, I've never heard her sing though.
High Fidelity will kick butt, and the return of Bat Boy to NY (on B'way) after it's rocking engagement in London will rule.
Hi Shira,
I know she's done other theater and is a trained dancer. I actually saw an episode of Married with Children where she performed "Fever" and did an excellent job. That says nothing however of her ability to sing Broadway, I realize that, but hey, that's what mics are for. I think she'll be fine. I just didn't think she should be in the category of untalented stunt casting.
