Yay for Woman in White placing in third and fourth for many categories! Although, I hoped it would win something, I am very pleased to see that it ranked very high in many categories!

I like the idea of Sweeney winning a lot :).
I'm very surprised that Jersey Boys got NOTHING.
I hope the Tony voters have voted differently.

I knew it! Patti LuPone is the only actress voting for.
I think there is a lot of competition this year, unlike last year and the results for the Tonys might be similar or totally contrary!
As for the Broadway.com results, I wasn't really surprised that Roberts won. I saw some of her 'fans' on another forum link to the website and asking people to vote for her. They are so pissed off that their big star wasn't nominated to the Tonys, if they can influence one vote, however insignificant, count on it.
I guess they were too dumb to know about BroadwayWorld and that explains why she didn't win those too.
That also might explain the Color Purple victory. Not that it doesn't deserve it... it's nothing like the Roberts case but I guess if you're going to vote for yuor favorite actress and have to turn in a ballot, why not vote for something 'Seen on TV'?

Why are you people hating on The Color Purple? Is it because of Oprah? If that's the case you should be more concerned with Disney taking over Broadway.Or is it because you can't stand that the show is that good. Of the new shows on Broadway its one of the top grossing shows.AS a matter of fact Color Purple and Jersey Boy's have been trading places at 1 and 2 since they have been opened. And who cares about awards anyway,it's more important how you move your audience.

Hell yeah Cyndi Lauper!
Damn straight.
No awards for Jersey Boys?
Please...
The fact that THE ODD COUPLE won best revival of a play speaks volumes about the kinds of people that voted for these.
Take them with a grain of salt.

Though I don't agree with a lot of the choices, I for one am just glad that Manoel Felciano is being recognized... he = amazing.

Hmm, very many of my votes have won . Now I do feel appreciated!
Ok...I guess I'm the only one that enjoyed Robert's performance on this board lol
It was an interesting show, I enjoyed watching it. I also tapped it, so excuse me while I go to watch the Jersey Boys performance again...=)
