I think there is a lot of competition this year, unlike last year and the results for the Tonys might be similar or totally contrary!
As for the Broadway.com results, I wasn't really surprised that Roberts won. I saw some of her 'fans' on another forum link to the website and asking people to vote for her. They are so pissed off that their big star wasn't nominated to the Tonys, if they can influence one vote, however insignificant, count on it.
I guess they were too dumb to know about BroadwayWorld and that explains why she didn't win those too.
That also might explain the Color Purple victory. Not that it doesn't deserve it... it's nothing like the Roberts case but I guess if you're going to vote for yuor favorite actress and have to turn in a ballot, why not vote for something 'Seen on TV'?
