Man I dont live in New York
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/10/05
the tony website will probably be updating constantly with the nominations.
I live a couple thousand miles away from the NY1 area, so the Tony page is on constant refresh!!
GAH!! I'm so excited!!
It's almost here! It's almost here!
Ugh, for the first year, I'm actually still in the city for the nominations, and yesterday they consolidated rooms, so I'm in an open room with two other people. They're both sleeping, and I can't turn the TV on. Looks like I'll be listening on the Tony website...again. God, I hate my school.
I will hope that CATS and LES MIZ get a tony this year. They try every year, and never win! Keep your fingers crossed. I also wouldn't mind if the American Girl Show won either. Who is hosting this year? Tony Danza or Marie Osmond?
They are having live video and audio on the tony web site, you need to have a podcast on your computer to run it.

Not soon enough!!! Im in school and class starts before the nominations are announced. I have to wait untill noon to see them! This is going to be the worse waiting period knwon to man!
Not live. Delayed. The podcast will be available shortly after the nominations are announced.
Which brings the question- I guess they're not doing a live audio feed this year like in the past?

Wait, where did this podcast thing come from?!? They always had live streaming audio. Booo!
I hear ya, mabel... I was searching around the website, but I guess the podcast is our only option if we don't have TV...

There is no live audio feed. NY1 will get a podcast going.
Dangit! How much time after the noms will it be released?!
"Shortly"... whatever that means.

Hm...that is...promising...
Will the noms be poasted at exactly 30 after on the website though?
Here is what it says on the web site
Shortly after the completion of the Nominations Announcement (Tuesday, May 16th at 8:30 a.m. ET,) we will offer the podcast in both audio/video and audio-only format. If you're not interested in a podcast but still want to see the Nominations Announcement, we'll have an on-demand Flash version as well.
They are going to be puting the link for the podcast up soon if anyone want's the link to the yahoo podcast here it is, if you have yahoo mail then you can watch the podcast.

Will the nominations in text be posted in 9 minutes?
Those of you who don't live in NY (like myself), CBS's Early Show will be airing the noms live at 8:30 EST.
Have fun! :)
The Tony website updates the nominees as they are announced, with a few seconds of delay, of course. So you won't get the whole list online at exactly 8:30.
i dont think so, if you are on the list to get the e-mail of the nominations, but I dont think they will put anything on the web site till after the podcast.
However, I THINK the Early Show only broadcasts the main announcements. They cut in once the noms have reached acting awards and the musical/play ones. I know those are the ones that most people care about, but I really wanna hear all of them.
(at least, that's how it's been done in the past?)
