I wish I had been able to see Julia Nixon as Caroline, I've only heard praises about her performance. Glad she was recognized along with the show. It is such a brilliant piece, funny how after its Broadway run it has gotten the recognition it deserves.
I'm so happy that Julia Nixon and Caroline or Change won, but I was kind of surprised as the momentum seemed to be going with Signature's production of Assassins.
It was a nice evening, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why Marvin Hamlisch was playing his opening medley of songs in quick time. I kept thinking, why is he rushing!?
Kudos to Washington's own, Jason Kravits (Drowsy Chaperone) who served as host of the evening.
Julia Nixon was a fantastic Caroline. I'm so glad I got to see her in that show. Congrats, Julia!
I guess I am one of the few that was underwhelmed by Nixon's Caroline. I, on the otherhand, thought the direction for Assassins was genius. Glad to see Woolly's production of In the Continuum get notice. It was their best work this season.
I can't judge because I did not see it, but a lead actor in Spamalot got a notice, really?
It's a shame that Cabaret did not get more than one award. I loved that production.
Congrats to the Caroline team!
I'm really glad that this show didn't die after it closed on Broadway.
