B-Way4Life, Official announcements haven't been made yet regarding Christian Borle -- but he was in all the readings, and he's telling anyone who asks that he's staying with the show. Yay!

Posted: 10/8/06 at 1:55pmIsn't it possible that the guys from Les Miserables might pick up nominations in these categories? No one seems to have mentioned them.

The Tonys mean nothing anymore.
And yes, I wouldn't rule out the LES MIS guys.

Posted: 10/8/06 at 4:37pmIf we're talking featured actor, at the moment, I'd love to see John McMartin WIN the award. He was totally snubbed for Follies (yes that was some 30 years ago) and plays the role of Major Bouvier (and Norman Vincet Peale) quite well.

Posted: 10/8/06 at 4:38pmYou don't think they'll petition McMartin for leading?
re: 2007 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical and Best Featured Actor.#38
Posted: 10/8/06 at 4:49pmNo. He really isn't a leading role. From what I remember, at Playwrights he had one big number, a few crucial scenes and a big number in the second act. It might change durring previews on Broadway, but I don't think McMartin will get a nod in leading. At least I hope he doesn't. If they want him to win, he should be in featured.

I, too, am surprised that no one mentioned the Les Mis boys. I think Alexander Gemignani, Norm Lewis, and Aaron Lazar will be nominated. Aaron's much more talented than Michael Maguire was, and he won. He should win. I also think Celia will most likely be nominated.
Raauuuul. He better be nominated, or I'm gon' slap a ho.
