If Danny DOES win in the leading actor category it would be quite something, because his role is smaller than any of the other leading roles. It seems to me, he's really making the role into a leading role. I've seen so many other productions of Follies and no one has ever registered the way he does. He's playing the role better than anyone before and, to me, that says a lot. I think that'll be taken into consideration come award time. I also think he's due. And the buzz on the street (I do group sales) is that other people think so too.
But I am also very much looking forward to seeing Harry & Norm, especially. Should be an interesting category this year.

If your head is spinning, that's clearly because Follies shot right over it. :)
Anderson-I totally agree with you about Danny Burstein's remarkable performance. He made me sympathize completely with Buddy. He deserves the Tony and I really hope he gets it. I think Norm Lewis is going to be very hard to beat, and Harry Connick, Jr., along with Matthew Broderick. I just feel like it is Danny Burstein's turn, too. Hoping the awards voters agree.
