I just went to search up the Tony performances on Youtube to re-watch them for the millionth time (as one does regularly, obviously) and they weren't there! They are also taken off of the cbs official site and I can't find them anywhere. Is this what happens to every year's tony performance? They're on Youtube for a while and they get deleted?

This might be a dumb question, but at what point can the videos be found again? Obviously the good quality recordings make their way back to the internet somehow, as nearly all from recent years can be easily searched.

Usually a few months before they stop regularly checking for user uploaded videos of the performances and removing them.
You can watch the full Tony awards on a website called fulltvshows.org, until the videos get uploaded onto YouTube again. I did it last night and it worked fine, but I watched it on my phone so I don't know if it works any different on desktop....
Why do they delete their videos? If someone is just gonna upload it in a couple months wouldn't it just make more sense to keep it?
