Wow, I was looking at the percentages of who said what, and apparently 94% of everyone who responded thinks Hadestown is going to win Best Musical? I personally think it will win, but I'm shocked that everyone seems to be so certain. I'm sure the race is much tighter than that.

1. I have seen the show.
2. I literally said that I thought Hadestown will win
3. A show can be good enough to win and still face competition from the other good shows of the season

Cool missed that but yea Hadestown will WIN! I just saw it again the other night and nothing compares as it's really a special piece of musical theater.

While Hadestown is a great new musical, it's competition is shockingly and disappointingly weak. Tootsie and Beetlejuice both turned out to be major disappoitments, in my opinion. The Prom is a sweet show, but it's really only ok and Ain't too Proud ain't too special.
I think this'll be a landslide win for Hadestown.

It was brought to my attention that someone spammed the poll. As a result, I was forced to delete about 70 responses -- all submitted in roughly a minute and with nearly identical results. I see no reason to spam this poll. Thank you to those who have only submitted one ballot.

You should tell us (a) how this changes the results and (b) who was the big benefactor of the spamming. Seems like a fair punishment that fits the crime... (Sorry, Gilbert and Sullivan...)

It may be the case that everyone thinks Hadestown is just a bit better than the competition. It doesn't matter how big the margin is if everyone agrees Hadestown is in the #1 spot

I feel like Hadestown is most likely going to win, but there are enough critics that have promoted The Prom and Tootsie that I'm a little wary.
Is this what fans of The Band's Visit felt like last year?
