Many of you know that the lovely Natalie 2 (Natalie Buster) has been playing Dorothy Brock in the (non-Equity) national tour or 42nd Street to rave reviews and has extended her run for a second year, with performances upcoming throughout the US. Well, I've just learned that the lovely erikaamato (Erika Amato) will be playing the same role in the San Diego area (Lawrence Welk Theater) for three months in an Equity production beginning June 9th! An interesting sidenote, Erika's production will be based on the original 1980-89 show, and Natalie's is the 2001-2005 revival version. And yeah, "I Know Now" does seem to fit better thematically, but "I Only Have Eyes" is just so gorgeous... So, I guess we're both winners!
