'33 Variations' ticket question
#1'33 Variations' ticket question
Posted: 1/13/09 at 4:03amI'm planning a February trip to NYC for my aunt's birthday. I know she'd love to see Jane Fonda but I'm not sure if I can stretch my budget for full price tickets. If there is going to be discount codes does anyone know when these are likely to be released? Or would it be better to blow the budget and get tickets in advance?

Posted: 1/13/09 at 4:29amThough I'm not sure about promo codes, I doubt you'll need to get tickets in advance unless quality of the seats matters. The Eugene O'Neill holds a little over 1100 people, so I doubt even a Kaufman-Fonda collaboration will be sold out. I too am going in February and am planning on just waiting for discount codes to (hopefully) come out.

It is already selling fairly well, from what I could tell based on what tix I was being offered.
However...two thoughts come to mind:
It only opens if Feb and therefore not a lot of time to put a code out there. Additionally, it is a limited run...which will force more folks to purchase tix at this normally slow time.
To catch something new on a discount is always a waiting game. One I chose not to play...I'll be there on 2/18.

Posted: 1/13/09 at 9:47amIt will probably be on TKTS. February is such a slow time and the Eugene O'Neill is a fairly intimate space. 1100 seats sounds big but it's really not. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.
