3rd Pal Joey Performance pics *56k Warning*

I went today on Nov 16th 2008, to Pal Joey at Studio 54, I thought it was a nice show, sure there is room for improvement. But I actually believe Stockard was the SUNSHINE of the show, Christian portrayed Joey as much as his ability could i thought. And Plimpton was infamous but had such a small role. Here are some pics I took....again not best quality, I will talk about it more tomorrow after I SLEEP :) Enjoy

that final TRL show set back my bus time, dang those MTV fans. jk I ended up seeing Beyonce, Nelly, Ludacris, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake..... and I don't listen to any of thier music

P.S. Christian is the nicest actor to the fans that I ever met. He lingered around for at least 30 minutes from emerging from the stage door.

I paid about $50 for my ticket. And I feel I got my money's worth. I personally thought the actors gave it their all regardless of their talents. Christian I don't think was miscast but yea it could have been a better. Obviously there is room for ALOT of improvement. Stockard was a natural but I also thought she could of put more umph into her role. Martha had the best portrayal of her character. I also would be VERY interested to see how the show progresses or the latter.

Studio 54 I thought had the most uncomfortable seats in all the theaters I have been in. View was very nice from Mid Mezz center.

Overall a nice show for the average theater goer. Not Bedazzling but not a hum drum show either. But I do agree some of the scenes dragged on.

This is the type of review I would give to a community theater production, not a Broadway show charging Broadway prices. Geeze!

I am giving the show the benefit of the doubt only because this is my 3rd year into the Xanadu called Broadway. I am only 20 yrs old. So my reviews may give a generic commercial viewpoint.

Especially in these times people should be making more lemonades than sour faces.

If you find my reviews are too shallow than I respect your opinion. But I met other people at the show who comment on this board and they said "Now you know to not always believe what you hear especially Broadway ."

In these times, little boy, professionals should be serving up QUALITY productions; not "doing their best". I haven't seen this production of PAL JOEY, but your comments about it make it sound like a show our local Middle School would do.

BTW: Who's the Chinese kid with Christian Hoff?

That's Bundy?????? Bundy said he was 20. That kid looks like he's nine (and really ought to see a dentist!)

After viewing those pictures of Stockyard Channing, I think she has bushier eyebrows than Milo O'Shea.

Sad. Terribly sad.

thank you for judging me,

people who tend to make others feel bad, themselves are having issues with self confidence.

By the way I am Korean who got adopted into America. I have done so much in one year on Broadway than most people do in their entire lives. And Your not going to RAIN ON MY PARADE...DOLLY!

Instead of "doing so much in one year on Broadway", you should be learning how to construct a simple sentence, learn the basics of spelling and see a dentist.

I'm not judging you, Bundy. I'm pointing out your foolishness.

This is coming from someone who has been going to the theater since 1964 and has a collection of well over 3,000 Playbills. I also saw the original productions of HELLO, DOLLY!, FUNNY GIRL, FOLLIES, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and CABARET among others. All of that hasn't held me back from writing effectively and thinking logically. You do neither.

Dolly--It looks like the guy had surgery, but do you want to leave him the hell alone?

This is truly evil, even for you!

Your points made about the quality of the show are well taken, but the rest of your post is useless and mean.

EDIT: Sorry--just pointing out YOUR foolishness, Dolly.
