i really enjoyed it. others are the opposite though. there is a lot, and i mean A LOT, of tap dancing in that show. it's really fun though.

See this show for the dancing and nothing else. Shirley Jones is death. I swear, everytime she came on stage the show went down. The show itself was just bland. The plot line didn't interest me at all, and the songs though relevant to the horribly mediocre plot were just unexciting and boring. The dancing was amazing. The energy this cast has is just phenomenal. Go see this show for the dancing and, if you can, block out everything else. I never find my mind wandering during a musical, but I was thinking about what I would order for dinner after, that's how uninteresting the show was. Bottom line: Go for the dance, skip the rest. I had fun at the show. It's good, but just fun - nothing really "deep." It's all about the dancing and the glitz and glamour, which is just fine if that's what your looking to see. I would recommend it, though. Have fun!!

And LMAO AG!!

And you made a good choice, kid!

YEAH MATZO BALL SOUP!!! LOL Emcee!!!

I sound like I'm completely bashing this show...but it just didn't do anything at all for me. I need some substance.

LOL! Soup on Wednesday!!

I agree, though. I didn't dislike it, it just didn't really do anything for me. Visually, it's very stimulating, but the show itself lacks something.

To me, it is a real old fashioned Broadway musical. Very glitzy, colorful with a lot of dancing. I found it very entertaining. I saw the revival twice and years ago with Jerry Orbach......

I completely agree with AG. I really didn't like Shirley Jones. Enjoy the dancing....the rest is mediocre. It's funny you should say that you thought about your dinner casue I committed the wrost of Theatre sins...I talked quite a bit becasue I had just gotten back with my best friend who recently moved to NYC. I know shameful.

I enjoyed every aspect of the show. A good, fun and feel-good musical.

It's a fun show. Not one of my favorites, but quite entertaining.

Gingerbread houses along golden, frothy canals. Like Venice... only different?

I don't blame you at all Roxie, just wasn't the show for me. I was replaying BARE songs in my head almost the entire show except for the dance numbers...it was just blah.

Plot = boring

Dancing = OUT OF THIS WORLD. The tapping is amazing.

I love the movie (especially Ginger Rogers) and the latest Broadway show seemed to have none of the charm or wit from the film. Part of it may have been how huge the theatre is. I felt like I was watching the kind of humor passed off on televsion shows like THE FACTS OF LIFE.

I loved 42nd Street and have seen it 3 times already. It is the epitome of Broadway. I for one enjoyed the plot thoroughly. It was a wonderful show and you will enjoy it very much. The tap sequences are incomprable and the finale is one of the best Ive seen. Youll LOVE it
