4th of July Weekend

I will be in New York.

Here is my lineup.

1. Friday Night: Book of Mormon. Finally got premium tickets through box office.
2. Saturday 2pm: Lion King. I have seen on tour, but never on Broadway.
3. Saturday Night. War Horse

4th of July Reserved a spot on a boat to watch the fireworks on the Hudson River.

Had a great weekend in NYC.

Book of Mormon was incredible. I am from Utah, so a lot of the jokes hit home. I must say being from Utah, Parker and Stone nailed it. They claim to be non-Mormons, but to be able to write the material they did, they must have family or friends that grew up in the church. I wish I lived in NYC, because I would love to see it over and over again. It is going to be something when they bring the show to SLC.

Lion King. Not much to say, other that it was outstanding. Seen the show on the tour. Although, other than some of the sets and other special effects were better than on tour, basically it was the same show.

War Horse. I was speechless. Great show. The horses became the star of the show. After a while, you start to believe you are watching live horses on stage. Outstanding.

Also, watched the fireworks from a ferry on the Hudson. The best fireworks show I have ever seen.

I am excited about my next trip to NYC, and I haven't even planned it yet.
