TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) Reviews Jan 4 2026, 09:48:33 AM
I was there last night. First time seeing it, so I have nothing to compare it to. I thought Tutty was great. I had no idea he was sick. So I didn’t even notice he wasn’t 100%. I thought Phoenix was phenomenal. If I didn’t know better, I would thought Phoenix was the lead.
With that said, I thought it was a good musical(not great). However, it is unbelievable for Robin to be so disinterested in Dougal, along with having nothing in comm

Thanks that makes sense.

I would like to think the rest of the group was enjoying a similar scene. I get the feeling that if I go again, I may see a different show and have a different experience, especially knowing where to stand to get ahead of the group."
All the split groups see the same th

I was there last night. Contrary to the post above, there was the roof scene. So they may have had technical issues on the roof as when in the post above. I do have positive and mixed views as well. The positive is it was great to enter Phantoms world. All of the actors were incredible. All of the actors interact with the audience. There was certainly an intimate feeling of the production. Carlotta sat on my lap, gave me a big hug and ran her fingers through my h

I would agree with this.

Kelsie Watts in SIX Aug 31 2025, 11:38:56 AM
Yesterday I bought a ticket to SIX in between 2 other shows as an afterthought. I was shocked by the performance of Kelsie Watts as Jane Seymour. I haven’t seen any mention of her before, but it was by far the best performance that I have seen in SIX. Here’s a YouTube video of her

CBS to cancel ‘Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ Jul 18 2025, 11:36:43 AM

That was my first thought. CBS bought the theater for Letterman. Sounds like they would have no interest in the theater after Colbert. My guess is the theater will be sold. If not, maybe they will just allow it to be managed by Shubert Organization, Nederlander Organization, o

Does she miss shows regularly? I am coming to New York on January 1st and I want to see Hells Kitchen again. I really want to see Moon’s performance again and would be disappointed if she is not in. My tickets are for Jan 3rd which is a Friday. I think that’s safe right before 2 shows on both Saturday and Sunday.

Victoria is off Tuesday and Sunday evenings with the new schedule ( no Wednesday matinees since new years)"
Thanks for the heads up.

Question about resale (Merrily We Roll Along) Oct 3 2022, 02:21:57 PM
If what NYTW says is true, no one will have tickets until the day of the show. Then you must show photo ID for the person that purchased the tickets.
My understanding as long as they follow their own policy, getting resale tickets is nonexistant. Scalpers are screwed for this one.

Merrily tickets Oct 3 2022, 01:19:29 PM
I would like to think positively that more tickets may open up, but given that there are only 199 tickets available at NYTW, the chances of gettting tickets are much less than say the Winter Garden.

I honestly can't remember...maybe $250?"

Phantom Closing? Sep 16 2022, 05:03:09 PM

The Post article was suspicious to me - especially where it said "the right show" would gross over 3M a week - which seems, highly highly doubtful. Hamilton and the current Music Man revival have done so - and there may be others - but it's few and far between.
And I thought I'd read here that Phantom had no "stop" clause in

Wow. Never thought I would see the day. My first Broadway show I saw that got me hooked. The weekly sales are around $900k. You would think they would be fine on those sales. My guess is there is more to the story.....

I would like to think if it continues to do well that it will extend through the holidays. No reason to leave money on the table as this would be a huge hit over the holidays.

Myles Frost vs. Aramie Payton as MJ Jul 22 2022, 02:59:36 PM
I have seen the show twice. Once with Myles and once with Aramie. Myles is the better dancer. When he moves, it is much smoother than Aramie. Myles looks like he has broken ankles on some of his moves.
Aramie looks more like MJ. So he is more believable. Both are incredible actors. You cant go wrong with either. The show is just as good with either actor.

I have tickets Saturday night. Is anyone expected to be out? I see the rumor Gavin is out, but officially he is on leave beginning Sunday. Sure hope Sara is in. I have had bad luck seeing her live.
