What experiences have any of you had with the waitlist at 54 Below?  How often have you tried it vs. received tickets, what number were you on the list, how far before the performance were you contacted, etc.?

Which specific show are you referring to?

I'm just wondering how people's experiences have been in general.  Matthew Morrison's show is sold out, and I wonder what the likelihood is of getting tickets if you're on the waitlist.

I'm not sure what the policy is.  When I've seen shows there, the venue has been full, with people also standing at the bar in the back.  Is there a waiting list at 54 Below?

Say YES and go on the waitlist. I have had very positive experiences more than once on the waitlist. You might not find out until a few hours before the show on that day but if it is a matter of getting in or not you need to determine if you are willing to be "on call"  I was told that they usually are able to get at least a few people in. I didn't press for the "why" so maybe seats are held and released prior to the performance, cancellations, etc doesn't matter to me if I can get in - LOL

"I got on the wait list for Bloody Bloody Angela Lansbury, and was very happy when I got a call that tickets were available. I think, in that case, I might have been first on the list. The call came maybe 2 weeks before the event.

We did the Tony party there 2 years ago and due to a mess up I was only allowed 2 guests, we needed 3. Called them, stopped by, and we ended up getting all 3 seats we needed. My suggestion is try, but they have a tendency to overbooked. So you never know.

I got called twice on the waitlist. Once I was first and the other I was third.

I have had more luck just showing up to the show and waiting on line to see if they can fit anyone in than getting on a waiting list by calling.

Got on the Aaron Tveit waitlist a while ago, and they called me 3 days in advance with options to attend either of two of his upcoming shows, very easy.
