hmmm...could appeal to the stylized asian crowd, esp after the movie...but i don't know if the subject matter really appeals to them. ("them" HA!)
my guess is it's another long-running spectacle musical. Beauty and the Beast?

Posted: 11/9/04 at 12:04amThat's disappointing. From all I've heard, it's ALL spectacle and maybe some good singing, but not much else.

Congrats to PTO on Broadway!
I attended the 10th anniversary show, and have seen it many times on Broadway and on the road. Glad it's still running. The Majestic Theatre certainly fits the show perfectly too. (Kuddos to the great box office folk there as well).
My fave phantoms: 1. Michael Crawford; 2. Mark Jacoby; and tied for 3rd (lol) Davis Gaines and Howard McGillan.

Congrats Phantom on your big milestone! I'm so proud of everyone involved in that show! I wish I could have been there to celebrate with them! And yes, Hugh Panaro is a fantastic Phantom!

Congratulations POTO on achieving about 6500 performances too many...Into the woods should have been best musical that year...grrr
lets only hope that POTO can outrun cats because it is far more deserving of such a long run than Cats!

I think there was a compliment somewhere in there.
Congrats my beloved Phantom of the Opera. May you run until those damn people catch you in the end of the show. Anyone know where I can find clips of Hugh singing? I want to know what he sounds like.

Britt0913 - did you see the matinee or the evening show?
I know that you said that you saw it tonight in your post, but I want to make sure because Julie usally performs the Wed. Matinee, so I am wondering if she went on for Sandra.
Thanks!

Posted: 11/9/04 at 8:42amI saw the evening show. In the playbill, it says that Julie Hanson performs the role of Christine Daae on Monday Evening and Wednesday matinees.

Posted: 11/9/04 at 8:55pmYay for Phantom. Haven't seen the Broadway production, but I saw the tour last year....with Brad Little as the Phantom and Julie Hanson as Christine, and it was wonderful! Heres to 7000 more!
