My choir director announced our Broadway theme for this year, and it's Broadway Time Travel or something to that extent (it's a lame excuse to use any musical song ever written).
She was listing all of the era's that we would be covering and she left out the 80's, she said "There arent any musicals set in the 80's Era except for Footloose(which was a recent production so we arent premitted to do anything from that)."
I had to think for a second about that, it would be odd if there were no other musicals set in the 80's era. I couldnt think of anything off the top of my head, except for the upcoming Wedding Singer Musical.
So my question to all of you is, Are there any musicals set in the 80's era? (besides RENT, my director says its a more acurate depiction of the 90's)
