I already have tickets for two nights for the LA run.(Yeah!) I am pretty sure Kristin and Idina will not be doing shows in LA. At a previous promotional event with Steven Swartz and a couple leads from the tour, they said these rumours were false. Of course, this doesn't mean another star won't reprise his/her role...which would be exciting.

I'm not an obsessed fan of either actress or the show, but I did think they were both wonderful in Wicked and shouldn't be missed if given the opportunity.

Actually I was really thrilled to see Marisa in Hairspray in L.A., but that meant that Carly was able to take over the Broadway run, so I didn't feel bad for her. I also was glad that Matt Morrison was playing Link when I saw it, though he didn't stay for the full L.A. run, and Link wasn't the lead. Since I've never seen Kristin, I wouldn't mind if she played Galinda here, but I've been a big Stephanie fan for over 10 years, and as she's a local girl, it would be most unfair if she didn't play Elphaba in L.A. (plus I've already seen Idina twice). Since it's unlikely that either Stephanie or Kendra would get Broadway as a trade-off (as Carly did), for both of their sakes I'm kind of hoping that neither one gets bumped from this part of the tour. By the way, the quote in my previous post was from an email I received from an anonymous Broadwayworld poster, who seemed to be in the know.

i would put my money on joel grey people. he's a probably considered a bigger name than both kristin and idina to the l.a. crowd, and doesn't he live on the west coast or something?

esl, Carly didn't replace Marissa, so MJW doing the show in LA had nothing to do with Carly getting the role on Broadway.
