They're usually hidden in their hair. In my opinion, the best mics are those that you never/rarely see.

They are wired up through their backs and into their hair. When I saw this past Wednesday's matinee though, Andrew Rannells' mic wire bunched up in the back of his head and made a visible arch during Act I
