Hi everyone, I am doing a pagaent through my university and there is a talent portion. I have to have my talent picked out by tonight. I want to sing and tap dance, but I don't know what song to do! The talent has to be 90 seconds long. I would like to do around 60 seconds of singing and 30 seconds of tap.

I have a strong mezzo voice with good lower and upper ranges. I can belt fairly high and I have a good head voice for after my breaking point. I am a very experienced tap dancer.

So far I have thought of "Forget About the Boy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie, or "Show Off" from the Drowsy Chaperone. The main issue would be finding a way to cut the song so that I could still show off my voice well in such a short time, and having a good instrumental break to tap dance to.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be a musical theater song, but that would probably be the easiest route.

Stick with The Drowsy Chaperone, but go with Cold Feet.

Shall We Dance from The King and I

Shall we dance (tap, tap, tap)

On a bright cloud of music shall we fly? (tap, tap, tap)

Shall we dance? (tap, tap, tap)

Shall we then say "Goodnight and mean "Goodbye"? (tap, tap, tap)
