Posted: 6/14/07 at 5:19amExcellent points, actually. I never understood the point of the "convenience charge" or the charge for Ticket Fast. For those of us who don't have the luxury of going to the theatre directly and buying tickets at the box office, all the extra charges are annoying.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 6:20amMe too. Tickets equal out to be $10.00 extra. Atrocious.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 11:01amIs it still free to have the tickets mailed to you? I always thought it was silly that you could have them mailed to you for free, but they charge $2.50 for you to print them yourself.

I think it is through Ticketmaster, $4 through Telecharge.
Unfortunately, our hands are tied. Such bull!
I actually stopped ordering from FreshDirect last year because I hate their service and they added a "fuel surcharge." I was like "isn't that what the delivery fee is for?" (which they also raised!)
I mean, honestly, do they think we're stupid?!

Posted: 6/14/07 at 11:10amHonestly, they know we'll pay whatever they want if we want the tickets bad enough.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 11:16amThats quite a shock , as a brit all we pay to ticket master is the ticket price and a couple of pound service charge and thats it.

Yes, your system is lovely. Ticketmaster may be a couple of pounds, but See and I think Delfont Macintosh have been £1.50. It's going to be a bit of reverse "culture shock" for me when I move back to the U.S. and buying tickets from Ticketmaster and Telecharge.

I thought the delivery fee was always $5.00? (Or $4.95 or whatever it is.) They did raise the minimum order from $40 to $50, which kind of bugs me. I can actually understand the need for a fuel surcharge though, with the price of gas being what it is now. I use ZipCar on occasion and their rates have gone up slightly since last year as well, because they pay for your gas.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 11:49amIt used to be $3.95. And I don't like it. I get that gas is expensive, but I don't really consider that my problem, they should have factored it into their business model (not to sound like an ass, but what happened to customer service? Instead they just upcharge us, blaming this or that)
