They have that, actually.
Note the sarcasm. I'd buy it, though.
On a serious note, they have 3 variations on window cards (2 vertical, one horizontal), the libretto, the On the Line book, magnets, t-shirts, programs, and the CD.

hey, thats a good idea! you should promote it and send it to the company!
(im being absolutely serious).
You could do that for them as a promotion for the actual show--- similar to the people handing out flyers in the streets of Manhattan. It could be that with "I hope I get tickets to A Chorus Line" (because its the best thing since sliced bread. Sorta.)

#8re: A CHORUS LINE Souvenir Merchandise
Posted: 10/7/06 at 10:46pmThat's actually a great idea to pitch to TDF. Every time I see that shirt I want one.

In the University of Michigan production that was done a year or two ago AL wore a TKTS shirt. They have to sell them somewhere. Or perhaps they made it.

Posted: 10/7/06 at 11:22pmWould it be sick and wrong to head over to the theater and buy the merchandise if I'm not seeing the show that night? ... I saw it in SF, if that's any consolation. I just want a t-shirt!

What amazing news!
I'm like so thrilled that this stuff is available!!!
You see, My Uncle Brasciole is really sick and since ACL is my favorite show right now, I thought I'd give him the ACL coffee mug when I visit him in the hospital. I'll fill it with jellybeans and stuff so it'll be really special. Then when he dies I can have it because you don't think they'll bury the ACL coffee mug with his body, do you?

I want to go to the theatre for merch too. I saw the show in previews and was told someone at the head of the production didn't want merchandise because they believed
that audiences shouldn't be deluded in thinking that previews are real shows therefore, merch should not be sold.

That was very wise.
Now I'll know if I'm seeing a preview or a real show when I look around to see merch and it's not there.

After reading some of the reviews it looks like there might be a viable market for "I'm Feeling Nothing" t-shirts.

Posted: 10/8/06 at 1:38amI too want to know the difference between posters and window cards. Are window cards the cardboard "ads" that you see in the windows of businesses. Not a post card size but less than a poster size? like 15" by 18"?

Luvinbroadway - those are opening night gifts
uncageg - window cards are the 14x22 cardboard signs you see in store windows, Sardi's, etc. Hence "window card." There's no real difference I know of between that and a poster.
