They look good, though I hope if they are going to keep to the original design, they will give Deidre Goodwin the variant Shelia leotard that is more gold - it would look better with her skin tone.

The original Shelia costume was pink but more muted...almost nude

I think it should be Green liek in the movie it charecteristicly makes the most sense for sheila

I think this new cast could be fantastic. And a lot of these people are getting a chance to shine. Here's hoping this is a production worthy of the brilliant musical!

no no no sheila SHOULD be in gold lame. In a gold outfit her character seems like she is really trying hard to stand out - and may be even slightly desperate. I think it works in gold... but pink?

Speaking of costumes....it would be fun if they marketed Al's TKTS t-shirt. I always loved that t-shirt.

You know, I've been so high on the notion of the revival and then got a sinking feeling when I saw Michael Berresse in that gawdawful Zach sweater and I just don't think this is a good idea at all. The only absolutely necessary things to have held over from the original designs, in my opinion, are Cassie's outfit and Al's TKTS shirt.

But that horrible sweater. There was a time when the dancers in ACL wore what they wore because they were the latest looks, not "can you BELIEVE the dreadful fashions we wore back in the '70s?"

Now I'm starting to think the whole thing's gonna be like when kids born in the late-'80s put on long wigs and flash some peace signs while doing HAIR.

I'm a little concerened about that too Namo - and this comes from somebody who has loved the show and performed in it. I'm actually mostly worried that this production is not going to be unique or inventive enough to make audiences pay 110 dollars a seat in New York when the same recreation can be seen "as is" at their local regional theatres for much cheaper.

It was always a gamble bringing the show back this soon. I really hope the production is outstanding because there is already concern about ticket sales.

It would be heartbreaking to have an unsuccessful revival of this - or one that is not extraordinary.

As the years went by during the original production I grew to hate Zach's sweater and Bobby's scarf.

At least the discussions are switching to the color of Sheila's costume from the color of Sheila's skin!

So did I. I'm sort of surprised they're not allowing Theoni Aldredge to do a little "tweaking" of her costume design (she's still very much around). I mean since it's being set in 1975, there are limitations, but it's possible to suggest "70s" without including scarves and sweaters which might read a little distracting to today's audiences. But whatver. It's not that big a deal.

Goodwin looks great and her hair looks great but I liked the whole idea so much better before I got This Sinking Feeling.

I hope this production looks and feels completely new. I wish there could be new choreography even--though it will be great to see Bennett's choreography again (that's what they are doing, right?)

I have a feeling that I'm not gonna like this for some odd reason which blows the big one. I have loved this show for decades. I've had the pleasure of being in it several times however, it just feels like something is lacking. I hope my gut feeling will change instead of get stronger.

it IS possible the costumes can change. I mean Sheilas is different whose to say the rest are not different. I hope the rest of the cast pictures become avialable soon...

This is supposed to be a re-creation of the original everything. Nothing changes including the costumes. However, during it's original run some of the costumes did change. Namely Al's infamous TKTS shirt was the pink one at one point in time. The leotards became more french cut, etc, but everything wound up returning to the original eventually because it was too hard to keep track of not to mention that it eventually became a period piece. Some of the lines were changed throughout the run too. Like "Rob Goulet out, Steve McQueen in" Changed to Steve McQueen out, (insert name) in." but that too eventually went back to the original script.

The full cast has not been announced yet, despite what the news articles say. Nowhere have I heard about the swings. Do you think Deidre will understudy Charlotte? Despite what the bottom of that article said, Brad Anderson never starred in Kiss Me Kate, he was a replacement in the ensemble.
