A Cast Recording Christmas
A Cast Recording Christmas#0
Posted: 12/24/03 at 7:40amThey day is finally here. I am up at 7:30 am to go to breakfast and the only reason I could get up (3 hours of sleep) is excitement to get the very special gift I have been looking foward to for a while: the Wicked OBCR! I also ordered Zanna, Don't!. There were many other OBCRs on my list...what ones were on yours?

Don't feel bad BroadwayDiva, I don't have Wicked yet either. I'm totally broke, and can't afford to buy anything for myself during the Christmas season. But I am pretty sure my sister got it for me. I think she got me the book, too. (Okay actually, I'm sure that she got me the book; I could see the cover through the cheap wrapping paper).
My list:
Side Show
Grand Hotel
Aida
Bat Boy
Seussical
And Linda Mugleston's solo CD. :)

My folks bought me the revival Little Shop recording, 'cause I mentioned in passing that I liked Hunter Foster's voice once.
Other than that, I got the Concert for George on DVD and CD, score!

Posted: 12/24/03 at 6:43pmI don't trust my parents with buying cast recordings since I was watching my Jekyll and Hyde DVD... I DO need my occassional Coleen sexton dosage.. DAMN that woman has a voice.. and both of parents commented on how "great" David Hasselhoff is and how he was "one of the best singers in that TV show" (refering to Jekyll and Hyde). **rolls eyes**

LOL yes Mr Roxy...unless you use like ten layers of it. I usually just wrap a present in tissue paper and then put it in a bag.
But don't you hate it when your parents only open one tube of wrapping paper at a time so that ALL the presents are in the same paper? I mean how boring. Let's have some variety!

Posted: 12/24/03 at 7:31pmi agree. But my folks always had about 500 different rolls of paper. Each gift had to be wrapped in a certin paper which was to be dictated by my mom based on what the gift was, the age of the person, their gender, religion, race, etc. It was quite the complicated organization method. I always got mad at here, but when I look back it was kinda funny.

It's the other way around for me --
Knowing I was visiting NYC, six people have asked me for a copy of THE BOY FROM OZ ( which you can't find yet in Manila) - so, it was part of the Christmas presents I gave this year.

Posted: 12/26/03 at 5:11amI got Godspell the original off-off-broadway cast, Wicked, and Urinetown, but I actually picked them out at the store, after some of the gifts my parents got me last year we decided that I should shop for most of my own presents. I wasn't allowed to listen to them til I opened presents though. Which was really hard. There were still a few suprises though. I still have about 60 bucks in Christmas money so I'll probably get at least one more. Oh yeah I got Chicago on DVD too.
