I like the song, but the last time I heard it was when Andrea McArdle played Belle.

I sitll haven't seen BatB on Broadway, but this is by far one of my favorite songs. I've seen many people saying that it slows down act 2, which I can't comment on. I do think if it is well acted and sung, it could work nicely in the show (with what I know about the show, anyway). I've heard 3 different renditions of the song: Brooke Tansley (at Broadway in Bryant Park), Susan Egan (on her CD), and Ashley Brown (at Broadway on Broadway). My favorite was probably Ashley Brown.

Besides the On the Record CD, there is also a recording of Ashley Brown singing it available at the theater. It's a three song mini-CD that they are calling the "Ashley Brown Sampler" and has her singing A Change in Me, Reflection, and Part of Your World.

Unfortunately, it's only available if you buy a souvenir program, which costs $15. I wanted to buy just the CD, but they wouldn't let me. And, I already have a program, and certainly don't need another one.

Has anyone bought this sampler CD? How is it?

I will say this...Ashley Brown is an incredible Belle. Wonderful voice.

Toni Braxton actually recorded the track to be issued as a single, but this was all happening when she was in her lawsuit with her record label LaFace, hence she couldn't get out of her contract and Disney couldn't release it.

I've never seen Beauty and the Beast but I LOVE this song! I listen to it all the time on Susan Egan's album.

I used to have a recording of this by Andrea McArdle that Disney did for a radio promo spot, but I don't know what happened to it...I love Susan Egan's version of it...Nice to have the Original Broadway Belle do it.
