A Chorus Line seating question
#1A Chorus Line seating question
Posted: 4/21/07 at 4:39pmI was just wondering how good/bad the partial view seats are. I can't really afford the $111.25 seats, but I would love to see this show when I'm in NYC, and those are the only seats telecharge is bringing back other than partial view. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Having sat in partial view there, it isn't that bad. When the cast is standing 'on the line' you won't be able to see the last two people on the line on your side of the stage. Once they take one step forward, you can see them, though if they are taller, the boxes may cut off their head until they take one step toward center. There are several points where the characters gather at an extreme side of the stage and you can't see them, so you look at a bare stage for a few seconds, but they aren't really doing a thing.

Posted: 4/21/07 at 4:48pmI sat in partial view the other day and I agree with broadwayguy2. I would rather have sat there than in the mezz because where I sat was only like 10 feet away and I like seeing everything up close, but that's just me.

Posted: 4/21/07 at 5:29pmYou can always try their lotto too. And if it's sold out they've got standing room. Just another couple of options.

Posted: 4/21/07 at 5:43pmIs it true that the lotto isn't 1st two rows anymore?

Posted: 4/21/07 at 6:19pmIt was front row at least a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if it went into the second row or not. I didn't get picked, but I got standing room.

I have another question about ACL, so rather than starting a new thread, thought I'd just put it on this one.
I was just wondering, does the cast generally come out and sign after matinee shows? I'm not asking if they will when I see it, I'm just asking in general.

And while we're at it...
How crowded does the lotto get for a weekend matinee?

Yes, the partial view seats ARE partial view, but aren't awful. There's no reason to worry about seating in that particular theatre. I would just go with whatever is cheapest.
