re: FUNNY GIRL Revival

If this had happened 5 or so years ago, I would have really liked to see Idina Menzel or Sutton Foster as Fanny. I also like the idea of Stephanie J. Block, because she said she wanted to do it so much! I think Stephanie is certainly talented enough.

re: Shrek Workshop Cast Announced

I like both Sutton and Celia, and think either one of them will be great, I'm more worried about the design and costumes of the show. Were there any set pieces at the reading? Did they look good? Also, did Shrek have an accent?
Thanks!

It's very...fierce, menacing. I like it, a lot.
TheActr- I like your icon and signature, too!

This is SO CUTE! I'm very excited to see her in the 1964 musical. My favorite line is from when she is talking about funny girl, just the way she said it,"YAY BLOOD!"

True, but that didn't stop me from crying for half an hour when he lost!
Edit: Only kidding. But I was angry.

Let's have a circus, use giant balloons, light-up moons, michael arden, flashlights, no plot, and a guy dressed as a dog. And for kicks, why don't we set it to Bob Dylan music? Even though he only mentions a circus maybe three times in his entire career of music? Oh, and better yet, let's have Twyla Tharp choreograph it!

re: PQ- Is It Really That Bad?
 Jun 5 2007, 05:12:36 PM
It is very boring and muddled. I liked the score, but I like Les Miz, so it wasn't much of a change. The cast is good, but the plot is unwieldy, long and unclear. Whenever someone dies you don't really notice. Go if you like Boublil and Schonberg. It's not an artsy, deep meaning show at all, though.
