In December 2006, I was lucky enough to see the original Revival cast of A Chorus Line, and the night was truly a magical experience. This week, my friend told me that she had an extra ticket to A Chorus Line on Friday and asked if I wanted to go, and I quickly said yes. Although I was a little nervous that this experience would not live up to the experience I had in New York, those fears were quickly gone right as the lights came up on the first combination.
The current cast for the tour company was incredible. I'd read a couple reviews saying they were lifeless and lackluster, and that just goes to show me not to believe everything I read, because they were amazing. Robyn Hurder has always been a favorite of mine, and she did not disappoint as Cassie. Her "Music and the Mirror" was fantastic. Other standouts include Clyde Alves as Mike, Hollie Howard as Maggie, Jessica Latshaw as Kristine, Shannon Lewis as Shelia, and Bethany Moore as Judy. Everybody was great though, and there truly was not a weak link in the cast.
I was so pleased to see Carol Morsani Hall pretty much sold out, considering the past two shows I saw there (The Lion King and Spring Awakening) were not even half full. The crowd was very into, and it just goes to show that the performers truly do feed off the audiences energy. As I was leaving I heard nothing but excellent reviews. I wanted to stage door but Florida has been unusually cold lately, and my friends were not brave enough to wait in the cold.
All in all, the evening was amazing. A Chorus Line will always be a show very close to me. It reminds that no matter how frustrated and fed up I get with dance sometimes, I do it because I love it and am truly passionate about it.

Thanks for the review. And the tour in general is selling very well, as it will be extended through the end of the year(and hopefully longer).
Looking forward to seeing it in Fort Lauderdale next week.
